Page 11-Discussion: All About Admission Into NUS (2011/2012 Cohort) ... but then, the result slip is in black and white, they can't tell if it's real or photocopy. haha! .... Application Checklist; High school examination results slip

hi , i m currently applying. based on the application ,

do we have to write the 'place ' besides the number at the 'POSTAL / ZIP' at contact information segment?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENT OF PROVINCE AND STATE?

could I fill in SMK. rather than sekolah menengah kebangsaan , since my school is long to fill in the space given?
1. Just write your postal code is enough.

2. Example: State = Melaka
Province = Alor Gajah

3. Yes. I put my school as SMK too.

Uploading would be easier, more convenient and cheaper. NUS likes everything electronic. XD

apparently i thought spm certificate alone is enough, so i didn't go and certify my spm result slip.. but they NTU want the prove of english 1119, which is only printed on spm result slip, but not spm cert (lol).

so i was thinking, if i just scan the real slip and upload it, will that do?
but then, the result slip is in black and white, they can't tell if it's real or photocopy. haha!

help~ =]
1. It would be preferable to get your principal/counselor to certify it and scan in the certified photocopy ones. Better safe than sorry.

2. Haven't you receive your 1119 official cert? I got mine during STPM. They didn't bother to notify me at all. Check with your school office.

I attended different schools too. Went back to my previous school to retrieve my cert.

The Category D online application form is meant for international applicants presenting international qualifications.

presenting the Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'A' Level results
presenting an accredited Diploma from a Polytechnic in Singapore
a current or former student of NUS, NTU or SMU
a Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR)

Submitting a complete application

A complete application consists of the following:

Application form
Please submit only one application form. Duplicate applications will not be considered.

Nope, you do not need to translate your STPM result slip. I mean, the Singaporeans know Malay, yes? And you are right about the secondary school exam result slip and high school exam result slip being SPM and STPM respectively.

I called the NUS admissions office, asking specifically whether I need to translate my (extra-curricular) documents in Malay. Basically he told me they have staff to do the translating, and that I do not have to translate them into English.

Just my 2 cents. Since I'm a lazy person, I'm not going to translate them.
