Headbands There are different types of
headbands that are best for people, some tips on
how to use them, and ways to style with them!
As stated above, headbands come in various styles. One type of headband is
made of leather, suede, or vinyl and is usually hand stitched.
Another are type are the plastic category of headbands. These are
generally made of plastic and the edges can be straight, wavy, or
rounded. Most are colored brightly in every color imaginable,
including glitter and matte finishes. Next are fabric
headbands. These may have fabric covering a sturdy band but
are sometimes the band themselves with elastic which allows the band
to be customized to the wearers comfort. These will usually have the
elastic at the nape of the neck, so that the owner is not bothered
by a headband that is too loose and so that the crumpled material
necessary for the ability to stretch is not exposed to the public
eye. These can be any color or width, depending on the wants of the
manufacturer. Another type of headband is the toothed category.
These headbands have prongs or combs around the edge which secure
the headband securely into the hair and may be on either leather or
plastic headbands. Lastly are the novelty bands.
These are headbands meant for special occasions, such as reindeer
antler headbands or bunny ears. These are generally made with a
plastic band and covered with a cloth of some kind. There are also
headbands now that are plastic with small, colorful scarves wrapped
through them. These can be altered by removing one scarf and
inserting another, or even mixing different colors. |
