Have you ever wondered how you can shine at a party without spending a good chunk of time getting ready? Here is a mini guide to getting the most wear out of minimal makeup for a party or night out.
Things You'll Need:
- Sheer foundation
- Camouflage if necessary
- Brow pencil or powder
- Metallic eyeshadow
- Creamy eyeliner in black or a darker shade of your eyeshadow
- Lengthening and thickening black mascara
- Highlighter
- Cream or gel blush
- Highly pigmented lipstick a shade deeper than your lip color
-
Step 1
Apply a sheer lightweight foundation which evens out skin
tone but still allows your own skin to show through. A tinted moisturizer is a favorable option. Camouflage any blemishes as necessary with a spot cover-up product that helps divert attention from problem areas. -
Step 2
Fill brows in with your most apt eyebrow pencil or powder. Groom beforehand, tweezing strays and trimming excess length, if you want to look even more polished.
-
Step 3
Sweep on a metallic shadow in your color of choice from lash line to crease. Blend the outer edges of product upwards and outwards. Work a creamy highly pigmented eyeliner into both top and bottom lash lines. Use either black or a color that is a much deeper version of your
eyeshadow to keep it simple. Dab a sheer but subtly shimmery highlighter on browbones. Apply black mascara in a lengthening and thickening formula on only top lashes to finish off eye definition. -
Step 4
Massage a lightly shimmery cream or gel blush the color of your natural flush onto the apples of your cheeks. Blend away any evident lines and excess product.
-
Step 5
Press a creamy lipstick that is a shade deeper than your natural lip
color onto your lips. Use a sponge-tip lip applicator or clean fingers to get the color to stain your mouth. Be careful to not go beyond the boundary of your lip line.
-
Depending on your comfort level, adjust the degree of shimmer you use to add an extra boost to your party face. Highlight tops of cheekbones as well, if you wish, and top lips off with clear gloss.
